Perak: Perak Transit Bhd has appointed Ismail Jamal as general manager effective today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company announced that Ismail, aged 46, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008).
The filing highlighted that Ismail brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial roles across various sectors. His expertise spans transportation, oil and gas, automotive, fuel retail, medical equipment, and public administration.
The company also noted that Ismail has served in strategic roles within the Perak state government. He has been the head of the Strategic Communication Unit and a senior special duties officer for the State Executive Council.
Perak Transit mentioned that prior to this appointment, Ismail held senior positions in both the private and public sectors. His previous roles include serving as the Petronas area manager for commercial business (downstream), where he was responsible for managing dealer networks and negotiating commercial contracts across the northern region.
