Melaka: Perak is aiming for a top-three finish at the 2025 National Traditional Archery Championship, which will be held at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) this weekend. The state hopes to improve on its previous result, where it finished in fifth place.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah stated that a total of 43 participants, including both adults and children from the Perak Archery Association, will compete in the two-day championship starting Saturday, May 31.
Khairudin emphasized that the target was set following consistent preparations, training, and selection processes conducted by the association. The third edition of this national championship is expected to see participation from over 700 traditional archers from across the country.
