Perak JPV Hosts Sacrificial Ritual For Bota Kanan Village Folk

Bota Kanan: Two cows of the Brahman breed were slaughtered during the sacrificial ritual of the Malaysia MADANI Sekampung programme organised by the Perak Department of Veterinary Services (JPV) at Masjid Rahmaniah, Kampung Padang Changkat in Bota Kanan today. JPV director-general Dr Akma Ngah Hamid stated that the programme’s primary aim was to engage with and honour villagers in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was simultaneously conducted in Kampung Selat and Kampung Baru within the Bota Kanan area. Dr Akma highlighted that the programme serves as an ideal platform for the local community to promote harmony and unity in line with the Malaysia MADANI concept.

Dr Akma further mentioned that this year’s sacrificial ritual included a nationwide supply of 34,451 cattle and buffaloes, along with 22,453 goats and sheep.
