Penang Committed To Maintain Stable Administration

Penang: Penang is committed to ensuring that the state administration remains stable, transparent, and has integrity in the face of global uncertainties and current challenges within the country. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said feedback from a series of tours and visits with the people showed that they wanted a peaceful, stable, and orderly state.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow emphasized the importance of maintaining a prosperous and stable situation during interactions with the public. He stated, “The people want a prosperous and stable situation, not chaos, so as leaders, as a government, we want to ensure that the State of Penang continues to be administered with full responsibility and prudence.”

Chow highlighted the state’s focus on development, well-being, balance, and harmony for its residents. His remarks came during the Chief Minister’s Tour Programme to the Pulau Tikus Public Market, which also saw the attendance of the Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) and Penang DAP chairman Steven Sim, along with Pulau Tikus assemblyman Joshua Woo Sze Zeng.

Chow also mentioned that the state government is open to receiving criticism of its implemented policies and is committed to improving any weaknesses. The aim is to ensure that the stability and confidence of the people are maintained. He acknowledged that while certain issues may trigger various reactions, these are considered normal in administration and would be addressed prudently for the benefit of the people and the state.
