Beserah: Peace and harmony within society are essential prerequisites for achieving the objectives of Maqasid Syariah and safeguarding national stability, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar. He emphasized the critical role of murabbi ummah, or community guides, in ensuring the five core principles of Maqasid Syariah-the preservation of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property-can be fully achieved.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Na’im expressed concerns about the influence of irresponsible parties who spread slander and incite discord, potentially leading to accusations of disbelief among Muslims. He stressed the need to overcome hatred with values of compassion and mercy, urging collective efforts to build a nation rooted in Islamic values and noble civilization. These remarks were made during the East Zone Jelajah MADANI Ulama and Umara Programme (JMUU), part of the MADANI Al-Falah Carnival at Masjid Jamek Beserah.
Mohd Na’im also called on murabbi ummah to collaborate with national leaders to foster a society that values respect and compassion for all citizens. During the event, he presented the Tokoh Imam Mithali, Tokoh Guru Takmir Mithali, and Tokoh Guru KAFA Mithali awards to nine recipients from Pahang, Kelantan, and Terengganu. Each recipient received a cash prize of RM1,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
