Kuala lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will ensure that every procurement process is implemented according to the principles of good governance to safeguard public interest and maintain community confidence in the national security institution. Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail stated that PDRM acknowledges Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's statement regarding procurement matters involving the force and will take necessary actions professionally.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PDRM will implement all necessary actions professionally, transparently, and with integrity, in line with the laws, policies, and directives established by the government, as mentioned by the Inspector-General of Police in a statement today.
Earlier today, the Prime Minister ordered all procurement decisions for the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) linked to corruption issues to be temporarily frozen until procurement processes are fully complied with. He emphasized that the government, through the relevant ministries, would examine and restructure all procurements to ensure the transparency of the existing system.
