Negeri sembilan: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is actively participating as an educational partner to cultivate disciplined and morally responsible youths amidst current social challenges.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Negeri Sembilan police chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad, emphasized that PDRM’s responsibilities extend beyond mere law enforcement. They are committed to guiding communities, particularly the youth, by instilling values of patriotism and respect for the law. Alzafny encouraged young people to reject criminal activities such as gangsterism, bullying, vandalism, and the misuse of social media.
During the launch of the state-level ‘Sekolah Angkat MADANI’ (Adopted School) programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Ampang Tinggi, Alzafny highlighted the importance of personal and family values reflected in students’ actions. He urged students to adhere to school regulations, respect educators, and refrain from misconduct.
Through the MADANI adopted school initiative, PDRM collaborates with educational institutions to enhance student discipline, character, and safety, aligning with Malaysia MADANI’s focus on humanity, well-being, and societal unity. Alzafny noted that the program backs comprehensive student development, emphasizing academics, moral values, and personal identity.
Furthermore, Alzafny revealed that the Finance Ministry allocated RM100,000 to improve school infrastructure, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
In a separate incident, Alzafny reported that a couple was fined RM3,000 each for obstructing public servants after evading police for nearly an hour. Investigations disclosed that their attempt to flee was due to the fear of being apprehended for committing khalwat (close proximity) while in a car at night.
