PayDibs Expands Direct Access to DuitNow QR with PayNet Partnership

Paydibs: Paydibs Sdn Bhd has onboarded as a direct participant with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) for DuitNow QR (DNQR) acceptance, marking a significant upgrade for the payment service provider's infrastructure.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Paydibs stated that the direct participation with PayNet reinforces its position as a robust merchant acquirer. The company now connects directly to Malaysia's national payments network for DNQR, further enhancing its prior direct integration with FPX (Financial Process Exchange).

The company mentioned that merchants would benefit from unified access to real-time payment rails, covering both online banking via FPX and QR payments via DNQR, all through a single, streamlined platform. This development comes amid the rapid expansion of QR-based payments in Malaysia.

Paydibs also highlighted that direct participation with PayNet would enhance cost efficiencies and transaction processing control, providing merchants with improved cash flow visibility and quicker access to funds.

Meanwhile, Paydibs Chief Executive Officer Tee Kean Kang emphasized that the integration reflects the company's ongoing commitment to strengthening its role within Malaysia's payment ecosystem. He noted that by partnering directly with PayNet for DNQR, Paydibs is enhancing its position as a merchant acquirer, enabling faster settlements, greater control, and more efficient payment operations for businesses. Additionally, merchants benefit from simplified payment acceptance through a single platform, with access to DNQR across banks and e-wallets.
