Paya Besar Community Centre Nears Completion, Set To Open February

Paya besar: The Paya Besar community centre, known as 'Epistemic Investment for Society and Technology', has reached 94 per cent completion and is expected to be fully completed by February.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Paya Besar MP Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah stated that the community centre, which involves a development cost of nearly RM5 million, is built on four main pillars: technology, humanity, innovation, and sustainability. He emphasized the need to integrate all these initiatives under a single theme, 'Your Better Society 2040', to ensure the frameworks developed truly benefit the community. Mohd Shahar shared these insights while officiating the 'Jom Kembali ke Sekolah' programme at the MARA Higher Skills College in Kuantan.

A total of 574 students from the hardcore poor B40 category received contributions of school supplies through the back-to-school initiative organized by the Paya Besar parliamentary constituency.

Mohd Shahar, who also serves as the Deputy Minister of Economy, highlighted that the community centre being developed in Gambang will not only benefit students in the Paya Besar parliamentary area but will also involve higher education institutions located nearby. He mentioned that these institutions are not just beneficiaries but are directly involved in the implementation of community development activities.

The project aligns with the Paya Besar New Township Special Action Plan 2070, with construction costs funded through allocations from the Finance Ministry, parliamentary constituency funds, and contributions from several government agencies.
