Kuala lumpur: Pay Day Now, an innovative payroll solution developed by Ramsol Group in collaboration with AmBank, has been clarified as a private sector commercial initiative rather than a government policy or program, as stated by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ministry issued this clarification following several statements circulating on social media that led to public confusion regarding the status of the service. The ministry emphasized that the presence of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim at the launch was purely at the invitation of the organizers to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Ramsol Group and AmBank.

The ministry further explained that the Pay Day Now service is offered on a voluntary basis. It involves only those employers who choose to participate and their eligible employees, subject to terms and conditions set by the service provider. This means the facility is not mandatory and does not extend to all employers or employees in Malaysia.
