Paris: The Road To Gold (RTG) programme has confirmed that all national athletes who won medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and met the sponsorship criteria received their rewards within two months.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, RTG stated that they received several sponsorship offers aimed at rewarding national athletes who won medals at Paris 2024 and ensured all offers were documented to protect the rights of the athletes.

RTG Programme Coordinator Datuk Stuart Ramalingam explained that all athletes’ commercial interests were protected during the Paris 2024. He emphasized the importance of having commercial arrangements in place for every sponsorship offer, regardless of the Olympic outcomes. Stuart Ramalingam highlighted that it was crucial to ensure athletes did not lose out once they met the sponsorship criteria, while also making all parties fully aware of their rights and obligations to safeguard everyone’s interests.
