Paramount Expects Full Take-up For Embun Hills Project

Penang: Paramount Corp Bhd’s unit, Paramount Property (Utara) Sdn Bhd, is confident its newly-launched project, Paramount Embun Hills, will be fully taken up, given the project’s strategic location and design.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Paramount Property Northern Region CEO, Wang Chong Hwa, stated that 45 percent of the first phase of the project’s residential portion has been taken up, while the commercial portion is fully sold. “We launched 114 units of terrace and cluster semi-detached houses in Phase 1, each one priced between RM800,000 and RM900,000. We have started construction and the whole Embun Hills project is expected to be completed in 2029,” he told a press conference after Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow launched the project today.

Paramount Embun Hills is a freehold township spanning 28 hectares, located along Jalan Kulim, comprising 566 residential units and 30 commercial shop offices. Meanwhile, Paramount Corp group CEO Jeffrey Chew stated this project marked the group’s third develop
ment in Penang, following Utropolis Batu Kawan and Paramount Palmera.

He said Embun Hills has set a new benchmark for sustainable township development in the northern peninsula, with infrastructure meticulously planned to utilise solar energy, in addition to responsible waste management, conserving water, and promoting biodiversity with more than 550 native trees and plants in its master-landscaping. “When we launched our shop offices, The Shoppes at Embun Hills, all 30 units of the double-storey shop offices were fully taken up on the day itself. We appreciate the strong confidence shown by business owners and investors, and look forward to growing the economic vibrance in this region together,” he added.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the launch came at a timely juncture, given that Seberang Perai plays a vital role in Penang’s aspiration for balanced, inclusive development. He said under the Penang2030 vision, the state government is working to create a state that is Family-focused, Green and Smart,
where infrastructure, housing, and public services meet the community’s needs. “To support this, the state government has extended the five percent discount under the MADANI Ownership Campaign until next year to make homeownership more attainable, reduce property overhang, and boost the overall real estate sector,” he added.
