Paramount Confident in Success of Embun Hills Project

George town: Paramount Corp Bhd’s unit, Paramount Property (Utara) Sdn Bhd, is optimistic about the complete take-up of its newly-launched project, Paramount Embun Hills, citing the project’s strategic location and thoughtful design as key factors contributing to its anticipated success.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Paramount Property Northern Region CEO Wang Chong Hwa reported that 45 percent of the first phase of the project’s residential portion has already been taken up, with the commercial portion completely sold out. “We launched 114 units of terrace and cluster semi-detached houses in Phase 1, each one priced between RM800,000 and RM900,000. We have started construction, and the whole Embun Hills project is expected to be completed in 2029,” he mentioned during a press conference following the project’s launch by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Paramount Embun Hills, a freehold township covering 28 hectares along Jalan Kulim, includes 566 residential units and 30 commercial shop offices. Paramount Corp group CEO Jeffrey Chew highlighted that this project represents the group’s third development in Penang, after Utropolis Batu Kawan and Paramount Palmera. He noted that Embun Hills establishes a new standard for sustainable township development in the northern peninsula, with infrastructure designed to harness solar energy, implement responsible waste management, conserve water, and promote biodiversity with over 550 native trees and plants included in its master-landscaping.

Chew also pointed out the immediate success of The Shoppes at Embun Hills, where all 30 units of the double-storey shop offices were fully taken up on the launch day. “We appreciate the strong confidence shown by business owners and investors and look forward to growing the economic vibrance in this region together,” he added.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow stated that the launch aligns well with Seberang Perai’s essential role in Penang’s goal for balanced, inclusive development. He emphasized that under the Penang2030 vision, the state government aims to establish a Family-focused, Green, and Smart state, with infrastructure, housing, and public services tailored to meet the community’s needs. To support this vision, the state government has extended the five percent discount under the MADANI Ownership Campaign until next year, making homeownership more attainable, reducing property overhang, and boosting the overall real estate sector.
