Panther Trapped In Kuala Pilah Set Free By Perhilitan

Kuala pilah: The Negeri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) successfully captured a panther after the animal, weighing 50 kilograms, entered a trap set in Kampung Sungai Lapok, Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Faizal Izham Pikri, the director of Perhilitan, reported that the department received information around 9 pm yesterday about the panther’s capture. The trap had been strategically placed for over two weeks in anticipation of the animal’s capture.

Faizal further stated that upon inspection, the adult male black panther was found to be in good health and without injuries. Following this, the panther was released back into its natural habitat, within a forest reserve distant from human settlements.
