Kota tinggi: The last victim, Mohamad Haiman Fitri Supian, who was reported missing in a drowning incident at Pantai Tanjung Lompat, Kota Tinggi, was found at 3.05 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Acting Tanjung Sedili Maritime Zone director Maritime Commander Mohd Najib Sam stated that the victim's body was discovered by the public approximately 3.1 nautical miles from the incident location. "The identity of the victim has also been confirmed by the next of kin," he said in a statement.

Mohd Najib noted that this discovery concluded the four-day search and rescue (SAR) operation led by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA). He extended condolences to all the victims' families and expressed gratitude to all agencies involved in the operation.

"Throughout the four-day operation, all the agencies involved had shown high commitment by mobilising their personnel, assets, and expertise to ensure that the search efforts were carried out thoroughly," he added. He also acknowledged the support of the maritime community, including fishermen, boat operators, and the public, who provided information and monitored the waters.

The incident began on Wednesday when the fire department received an emergency call at 8.19 am regarding six 16-year-old boys who were reportedly in distress while swimming. Two of them were rescued by the public, while four others went missing. All four victims, namely Muhammad Thaqif Rayyan Rumainoor, Alif Taqiuddin Kamal Hasrul, Muhammad Adib Hafiy Kamal, and Mohamad Haiman Fitri Supian, were subsequently found through the SAR operation.
