Kuala lumpur: Pantai Siring, located within the Serkam state constituency, is set to be developed in phases as a new tourism product aimed at boosting the local economy.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Serkam assemblyman Datuk Zaidi Attan announced that the area has entered its initial development phase following the completion of land acquisition for a new road construction. The government is currently undertaking environmental, economic, and social impact assessments to pave the way for a comprehensive development plan.
Datuk Zaidi outlined the vision for Pantai Siring to become a state public beach, a hub for selling seafood products, and a prime spot for food and recreation activities. The announcement was made during a community event attended by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
In anticipation of the development, the upcoming Pantai Siring Festival, scheduled for next weekend, will serve as a platform to showcase the area's potential to visitors and locals alike.
