Shah Alam: Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Bhd (PMMA) has declared a complete reinstatement of gas supply to its two manufacturing facilities in Shah Alam. This restoration marks a resolution to the disruption initiated by the Putra Heights gas pipeline incident that occurred on April 1, 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PMMA had previously enacted measures to mitigate the impact of the disruption. The company utilized alternative gas sources to maintain production continuity. With the gas supply now restored, the manufacturing of fan and electric iron products has resumed full operations, as stated in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
PMMA’s managing director, Takashi Sugihara, indicated that the company managed to minimize operational impacts and is targeting recovery of the revenue losses within the current quarter. He emphasized that the company will maintain vigilance over the situation and provide updates as needed.
