Melaka:Pakatan Harapan (PH) is set to reveal its candidates for the upcoming Melaka state election within the next one or two weeks, according to PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin stated that the coalition's election machinery has been making steady progress over the past two months. He mentioned that while the machinery is ready, coordination, alignment, and mutual understanding are still being finalized. The announcement of candidates is expected soon. On September 27, Melaka PH confirmed the completion of seat distribution among its component parties at the state level. However, final seat arrangements will be decided following discussions among the PH Presidential Council, state PH leadership, and Amirudin. Regarding cooperation with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) for the state election, Amirudin, who is also the Selangor Menteri Besar, said PH is open to discussions if there is potential for collaboration. Otherwise, PH is prepared to contest based on its current capacity. The Melaka state legislative assembly was dissolved on September 23 following the consent of Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, as announced by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
