Pahang Sultan Emphasizes Unity and Brotherhood in Aidiladha Message

Kuantan: Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today called on the people, particularly Malays and Muslims, to continue safeguarding unity, avoid divisions and not be easily influenced by matters that could disrupt social harmony. His Royal Highness emphasized that Aidiladha symbolizes sacrifice, sincerity, and the strength of 'ukhuwah' (brotherhood) among Muslims.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Al-Sultan Abdullah highlighted the gathering of millions of Muslims in the Holy Land during Aidiladha as a testament to the unity, respect, and brotherhood that Islam advocates among its followers, regardless of race, status, or background. His Royal Highness's message resonated with that of Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who also urged unity among Muslims and Malays, warning against divisions that could weaken the community and create unease.

His Royal Highness stressed that a nation's strength lies not only in economic progress but also in the unity of its people, social stability, and mutual respect among races and religions. He expressed hope that the people of Pahang would continue to uphold good values, strengthen consensus, and prioritize the common good for peace and national well-being.

In his message, Al-Sultan Abdullah, along with Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, extended Aidiladha greetings to Muslims, especially the people of Pahang. The royal couple also prayed for the well-being and safe return of Malaysian haj pilgrims, hoping they would be blessed with good health and attain a mabrur haj.
