Kuantan: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have expressed their sorrow and extended their condolences to the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, following the passing of her mother.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the condolences were shared through a post on the official Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page. Their Royal Highnesses prayed for the late Hajah Esah Tahar to be placed among the faithful and the righteous. The post also mentioned their prayers for the family members to receive strength and patience during this difficult time.

The Selangor Royal Office released a statement confirming that Esah Tahar passed away at the age of 82 in a hospital in Damansara at 5.15 am. Her remains were laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum in Shah Alam, Selangor, at approximately 2.45 pm.
