Jerantut: The Pahang state government will provide a special incentive to composer Joy Ngiaw following her win at the 4th Children's and Family Emmy Awards held in New York on March 2. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail stated that the incentive is a token of appreciation for the Pahang-born composer's achievement on the international stage.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy expressed his congratulations and gratitude to Joy Ngiaw for bringing pride to the state of Pahang and the country. He shared his hopes for her continued success while addressing reporters after announcing the 2026 dividend of Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Bhd (Kosma) at the Jerantut District and Land Office.
On March 2, Joy Ngiaw won the Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program award for her work on the animated series WondLa, which is available on Apple TV+.
Meanwhile, Wan Rosdy revealed that Kosma will distribute plantation unit dividends totaling RM30.62 million to 1,494 members. Additionally, an advance dividend of one plantation unit valued at RM6,000 will be given to each member, amounting to a total of RM8.964 million.
He also announced that Kosma will provide a Hari Raya bonus of RM2,000 to all members, with a total payout of RM2.986 million. The remaining balance of the plantation unit dividend will be paid after the cooperative's annual general meeting, scheduled for June 20, while dividends on share capital will be distributed following approval from the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission (SKM).
Wan Rosdy, who also serves as the Jelai state assemblyman, noted that the distribution of plantation units and the Hari Raya bonus is expected to assist members in preparing for Aidilfitri. He expressed optimism about Kosma's future, hoping it will continue to progress and serve as a model for other cooperatives in Malaysia.
