Kuantan:Pahang Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has advised residents to take necessary precautions against the ongoing haze situation. He recommended reducing outdoor activities, refraining from open burning, and wearing face masks when outside.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy emphasized the importance of parents, employers, and event organizers taking steps to minimize exposure to unhealthy air levels. He also urged special care for high-risk groups, such as children, senior citizens, and individuals with respiratory issues.
He acknowledged the Pahang State Education Department's decision to temporarily close schools in Rompin and Kuantan starting tomorrow due to the haze and the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings. This decision aims to protect the safety, health, and welfare of students, teachers, and educational staff.
Wan Rosdy encouraged the public to pray for an improvement in the haze situation and to maintain their safety and health. The state government, he assured, will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to monitor the situation and implement appropriate measures for the well-being of the people.
