Pahang JAPEN Expands Efforts to Inform Public About BUDI95 Initiative

Kuantan: The Pahang Information Department (JAPEN) has taken a proactive step by reaching out to all districts in the state, including rural areas, to provide information on the implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative. Its director Rohani Chik said the move, which began last week, was intended to engage the public more effectively by handing out leaflets and sharing information on BUDI95.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the effort had allowed the department to receive direct feedback from the community on the initiative, which has been mostly positive so far. Before the implementation of BUDI95, JAPEN made announcements on social media. After its launch, they provided information to the community and explained how they could benefit from the initiative. Leaflets were distributed to help the community understand more easily, with Pahang JAPEN visiting an average of 50 locations each day to ensure information reaches all segments of society eligible for BUDI95.

Rohani highlighted that apart from petrol stations, the leaflets were also distributed at areas frequented by the public, including supermarkets, bus stops, and eateries, with the initiative being implemented continuously. The department also mobilised its mobile unit to help promote BUDI95 as well as other government initiatives.

Collaboration with the Kuantan Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) is also part of their strategy to broaden the reach of this government initiative and ensure information is delivered widely and effectively to the local community. BUDI95 has been implemented in stages since Sept 27, with 300,000 members of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysia Police being the first group to benefit from the initiative, followed by more than five million recipients of the Sumbang Tunai Rahmah (STR) aid in the B40 category on Sept 28. A total of 16 million eligible Malaysians began enjoying the benefits of the BUDI95 initiative yesterday.
