Kuala lumpur: The Pahang State Government has settled almost all applications for land titles involving settlers of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), with 99.5 per cent of more than 43,600 settlers in the state having received their respective land titles. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said only more than 200 cases remain unresolved due to inheritance issues, but the matter is expected to be fully finalised this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy highlighted that this achievement demonstrated the state government's commitment to ensuring the welfare of FELDA settlers while resolving long-standing land ownership issues. He addressed reporters after officiating at the Hulu Terengganu UMNO division delegates meeting at the Akademi Binaan Malaysia (ABM) Jenagor.

The UMNO vice-president emphasized that land ownership among FELDA settlers in Pahang was a priority for the state government, as it involved the rights and future of settlers' families. He mentioned that Johor had also seen success in providing land titles to settlers, with about 14,000 to 16,000 titles issued.

Meanwhile, Wan Rosdy noted that the Pahang State Government was also attending to the needs of the second generation of FELDA settlers by providing around 16,000 housing plots to ensure they have opportunities for home ownership. "In Pahang, we have provided 16,000 housing lots that have been approved. This shows our concern for the people and we will continue to listen to their voices," he added.
