Pahang: The Pahang government is targeting over 50,000 visitors and RM1.2 million in sales at the inaugural Mini MAHA Pahang 2025, set to take place from Aug 14 to 17 at Dataran Temerloh. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the event will feature more than 100 local agropreneurs and serve as a key platform to promote modern agriculture, strengthen food security, and showcase innovations in farming, livestock and fisheries.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the four-day expo will include 60 programmes involving 30 agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. Key attractions include ‘Pahang Berselawat and Forum Perdana’, a Fruit Fest, the launch of ‘Pahang Best’ products, as well as the debut of Beras Pahang (Pahang Rice). A petting zoo and livestock showcase featuring sado cattle, wagyu beef, and balau buffalo are also scheduled.
Wan Rosdy said Mini MAHA would alternate with the national MAHA, held biennially, to avoid event overlap. He expressed hope the state edition would inspire youth to venture into modern agriculture and help cement Pahang’s role as a major national food producer, in line with the ‘Pahang 1st’ initiative.
