Ipoh: A total of 660 local and international chefs will take part in the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2025, which will be held at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah in Meru Raya here. Perak State Assembly Deputy Speaker Jenny Choy Tsi Jen announced that the competition will run for three days starting June 27, featuring 65 categories involving both professional chefs and culinary students.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a total of 50 participants with autism, both adults and children, will also be competing in this event. Jenny Choy emphasized that the competition serves as a platform to uncover culinary talent among professionals and students, aimed at enhancing skills and techniques in the culinary world for international-level competitions.
She noted that players in the hotel and tourism industry will see such culinary competitions as an opportunity to discover new talents for their organizations. Jenny Choy also highlighted that visitors will have the opportunity to witness firsthand how the competitions are conducted. The judges will evaluate participants under time constraints, covering aspects such as safety, cleanliness, presentation, wastage, taste testing, and decoration.
