Over 500 Players To Light Up Inaugural Sraftkl Junior Open Squash Championship

Kuala Lumpur: The Squash Racquet Association Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur (SRAFTKL) Junior Open Squash Championship 2025, a new addition to the Asian junior squash circuit to be held from April 15-20, is set to bring together over 500 young talents from across the globe.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, tournament organising chairman Syed Kebir stated that the event will take place at the National Sports Council Squash Courts, Jalan Duta, and the Astaka Sports Complex, Petaling Jaya. This inaugural event has attracted 583 junior players from 14 countries, marking it as one of the most significant squash competitions in the region.

The tournament will feature six age categories for both boys and girls: Under-9 (U9), Under-11 (U11), Under-13 (U13), Under-15 (U15), Under-17 (U17), and Under-19 (U19). It will provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills in a competitive environment, offering a glimpse into the future of Malaysian squash.

The event has also garnered support from Touch ‘n Go Group, with Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd and TNG Digital Sdn Bhd stepping in as the official corporate partner. Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Praba Sangarajoo expressed hope that this partnership will foster values such as discipline, resilience, and excellence, empowering young talents to excel on the global stage and bring pride to Malaysia.
