Kota bharu: Yayasan PETRONAS has provided nearly RM1 million in assistance to 4,850 low-income families across the nation through the Memacu Kehidupan Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 programme. This initiative aims to support these families in their preparations for the upcoming Syawal celebrations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PETRONAS East Coast Region General Manager, Mohammad Ahmad Shazly Ramli, stated that the aid beneficiaries come from 13 states and three Federal Territories. In Kelantan, 400 families from Kota Bharu, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, and Bachok received basic food items and festive cookie hampers.
Mohammad Ahmad Shazly expressed that the annual programme is designed to alleviate the financial burden on recipients, particularly as they prepare for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities. The initiative reflects Yayasan PETRONAS' commitment to enhancing community welfare through its corporate social responsibility efforts.
The event was also attended by Kelantan Social Welfare, Women and Family Development Committee chairman, Datuk Rohani Ibrahim, who helped present the contributions to the families.
