Sarawak: The Sarawak Brigade General Operations Force (GOF) recorded 26 series of successes through Op Taring conducted throughout the state from June 1 to yesterday, with a total seizure value of RM15.14 million.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sarawak Brigade commander SAC Lim Bak Phai stated that during the operation, the GOF arrested 39 individuals to assist in investigations into various offences. Among the major successes recorded were the seizure of frozen products without permits, embezzlement of diesel, as well as untaxed cigarettes and liquor.

SAC Lim highlighted notable achievements, including the seizure of frozen products without valid permits around Kuching and Saratok, each with a seizure value exceeding RM1 million. Additionally, the operation successfully dismantled several diesel oil embezzlement activities around Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Bintulu. This involved the seizure of 45,770 litres of diesel oil, skid tanks, IBC tanks, oil transfer equipment, vehicles, and machinery believed to be used in the activities.
