Johor bahru: Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced that Johor recorded its highest-ever revenue collection of RM2.67 billion in 2025. He stated that this substantial revenue would be reinvested into the community through various development projects, public facilities, and welfare initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for Johoreans.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Onn Hafiz expressed his gratitude towards His Royal Highness the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, for his unwavering support and guidance. He emphasized that the Regent's focus on good governance and stability has been instrumental in achieving this financial milestone. He also extended his appreciation to the state secretary, Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman, the state executive council, assemblymen, civil service, government agencies, government-linked companies, and the people of Johor, acknowledging them as the driving force behind the economic growth.
Onn Hafiz expressed optimism that this achievement could propel Johor towards a more structured and competitive future, ensuring prosperity, progress, and well-being for the state. He acknowledged that there are still areas for improvement and reaffirmed the commitment to ensuring equitable utilization of the revenue for the benefit of more residents in Johor.
