Olympic House Malaysia Construction to Cost RM103 Million

Kuala Lumpur: The construction of the new Olympic House Malaysia in Bukit Jalil is expected to cost RM103 million, as stated by Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, RM93 million is allocated for the building’s construction, while RM10 million covers the land lease. The OCM is required to pay RM5 million upfront for the land lease, with the remaining RM5 million to be settled over a decade.

The new facility will include a museum, a banquet hall for income generation, a media conference room, meeting rooms, and offices for sports associations that cannot afford larger spaces. Norza shared these details during the signing of an agreement between OCM and the Malaysian Stadium Corporation.

The construction is slated for completion by the 2027 South East Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia. The building will be strategically located next to the National Hockey Stadium and near other major sports facilities, including the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, the National Aquatic Centre, the National Sports Council, and the Bukit Jalil Sports School.
