Doha: Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs and Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to Afghanistan, held a meeting with His Excellency Dato Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman, Special Advisor to the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Malaysian Government’s Envoy to Afghanistan.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the meeting focused on the latest developments in Afghanistan and the efforts of the organization to support the Afghan people. Discussions were aligned with relevant ministerial decisions and the outcomes of recent meetings of working groups concerned with Afghanistan, which took place in Doha under the UN-led process.
The engagement between the two envoys underscores ongoing international collaboration and commitment to addressing the humanitarian needs and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan. The discussions reaffirmed the shared goal of supporting stability and development in the region.
