Tagaytay city: National para track cyclist Nur Suraiya Muhamad Zamri delivered a standout performance to clinch gold in the women's sprint event at the 2026 Asian Track Cycling Championships (ACC) in Tagaytay City, the Philippines today. Competing in the women's B category (visual impairment), Nur Suraiya powered her way to victory, defeating Kazakhstan's Kalaus Anastassiya 2-0 in the final. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysia also secured a bronze medal through Nur Azlia Syafinaz Mohd Zais, who beat another Kazakh rider, Zhantore Moldir, 2-0 in the bronze medal tie. In the men's B category, Mohd Khairul Hazwan Wahab had to settle for silver after going down 1-2 to Japan's Kimura Kazuhei in the final. The bronze medal went to Indonesia's Nur Fendi, who defeated Kazakhstan's Seitzhan Kenzhegul 2-0. Meanwhile, national rider Nur Aisyah Mohamad Zubir finished seventh in the elite women's points race after collecting 15 points, with Uzbekistan's Kozieva Nafosat taking gold (35 points), Hong Kong's Leung Wing Yee silver (34 points) and Singapore's Elizabeth Le Min Liau bronze (31 points).
