Number Of Flood Evacuees In Beaufort, Sabah Remain At 388 People Tonight

Beaufort: The number of flood evacuees in Beaufort remained at 388 people from 121 families as of 8 pm tonight. All the evacuees are being housed at the Selagon permanent relief centre, which opened its doors to those affected by the floods at 3 pm, Tuesday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah state disaster management committee secretariat reported that among the evacuees, there are 183 adults and senior citizens, while 155 are children and babies. The flood situation has seen an increase in the number of affected villages, with the count rising to 11 villages this morning compared to 10 last night.

Despite the widespread impact of the floods, the secretariat confirmed that no loss of life has been reported so far. The situation continues to be monitored closely to ensure the safety and well-being of the evacuees housed at the relief centre.
