Sarawak: The number of flood evacuees at relief centres in Sarawak and Sabah slightly decreased as of 4 pm today. In Sarawak, 29 centres continue to operate, sheltering 2,802 evacuees from 864 families. This is a reduction from the 41 centres housing 3,890 individuals from 1,175 families reported at 8 am. The closure of eleven relief centres in Samarahan, Gedong, Siburan, and Balai Ringin contributed to this decrease.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, while the overall number of evacuees dropped, some locations reported an increase in evacuees. These include centres at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Krusen in Serian, Dewan Suarah, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sebauh in Bintulu.
In Sabah, there are currently 366 people from 138 families at relief centres, a slight decrease from the 367 people from 137 families recorded this morning. Of these, 328 individuals from 123 families are staying at Dewan Slagon in Bintulu, while the rest are at Dewan Sri Dayang Shahbandar in Padas Damit.
