NTT DATA Payment Services Launches Integrated Payment Solutions ‘ADAPTIS’


Kuala Lumpur: NTT DATA Payment Services has launched a comprehensive suite of integrated payment solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses known as ADAPTIS.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this marks a strategic milestone in the company’s transformation, bringing together innovation, flexibility, and regional expertise to shape the future of commerce in Southeast Asia. The ADAPTIS suite comprises five core offerings: ADAPTIS In-Store for seamless retail transactions, ADAPTIS e-Commerce for secure online payments, ADAPTIS Financing to support business growth, ADAPTIS Enterprise for scalable payment infrastructure, and ADAPTIS VAS (Value-Added Services) to optimize clients’ business operations.

NTT DATA Payment Services group chief executive officer and executive director Sean Hesh stated that ADAPTIS is the company’s response to the evolving demands of the digital economy, built on decades of experience and over 500,000 touchpoints across Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. He
sh emphasized that ADAPTIS is designed to be flexible, localized, and future-ready, assisting businesses in scaling efficiently while providing customers with seamless payment experiences.

The launch event featured a panel discussion titled ‘Next in Commerce: From Competition to Collaboration’, with participation from NTT DATA Japan’s Head of Global Payments and Services Division, Shinichiro Nishikawa, alongside other senior executives from the group. The discussion explored how NTT DATA Payment Services has integrated formerly competing brands into a unified ecosystem, fostering greater synergy and innovation in the global payments space.

Nishikawa highlighted that the initiative signifies a broader shift in the payments industry towards ecosystem-based solutions. He stated that the future of payments is not just about transactions but about ecosystems. By uniting Asian payments industry leaders under the NTT DATA Payment Services’ umbrella, the company is building a more connected, intelligent, and resili
ent regional commerce infrastructure. ADAPTIS reflects their commitment to seamless integration, localized solutions, and large-scale innovation that empowers businesses worldwide.

The ADAPTIS launch follows NTT Data Japan’s acquisition of GHL Systems Bhd in 2024, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the world’s top ten global IT service providers. In line with this strategic transformation, GHL Systems was rebranded as NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn Bhd on November 13, 2024, aligning with its new vision while maintaining the high standards of service that merchants and businesses have come to expect.
