Ayer Kuning: The nomination centre for the Ayer Kuning state by-election at Dewan Merdeka here closed at 10 am today after it was opened for an hour. It was announced by Returning Officer Ahmad Redhauddin Ahmad Shokori.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the by-election is being held following the death of its incumbent, Ishsam Shahruddin, 58, on February 22. The Election Commission (EC) has set the polling day for the state by-election on April 26, while early voting is scheduled for April 22.

The campaign period for the by-election will extend for 14 days, commencing after the declaration of candidates and concluding at 11.59 pm on April 25.
