No Schools Closed, Influenza Situation In Terengganu Under Control – JPNT

Terengganu: The Terengganu State Education Department (JPNT) has confirmed that no schools in the state have been closed following the spread of influenza cases among students. Terengganu State Education Director Kamsah@Kamal Mohamed stated that the department has not yet received any report of the outbreak’s spread significantly affecting school operations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kamsah mentioned that the situation remains under control, with no schools instructed to close due to influenza infections among students. He provided this information during a conversation with Bernama.

Kamsah elaborated that the department has circulated guidelines to all schools in the state to prevent the spread of the disease. He advised students displaying symptoms of fever or flu to seek immediate treatment at a health clinic and rest at home if they have a fever, as well as to maintain personal hygiene, including frequent handwashing.

Additionally, any student diagnosed with influenza is required to undergo home quarantine until they fully recover. Schools are also instructed to promptly contact the District Health Office if there are any suspected cases or early detection of infection in their respective areas.
