No New Opposition MPs Join MADANI Government’s Confidence and Supply Agreement

Kuala Lumpur:No additional opposition Members of Parliament have joined the Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) with the MADANI Government, as confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the number of MPs who have signed the agreement remains unchanged at 13, following last Thursday's signing. Fadillah Yusof provided this update briefly to reporters after the launch of the International Conference on Ecohydrology and Water Resilience (ICEWR 2026).

On October 29, the MADANI Government reached a CSA with six MPs from the Bersatu party, led by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. As part of this agreement, the MPs committed to supporting the passage of the Supply Bill 2027 (Budget 2027) and the government's proposed institutional reforms. These reforms include capping the Prime Minister's tenure to a maximum of two terms and separating the roles of the Attorney General and the Public Prosecutor.
