No Illegal Gold Sales Detected on Kelantan State-owned Land: Mohamed Fadzli

Kota bharu: The Kelantan government has confirmed that there have been no illegal gold sales on state-owned land, so far. Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan stated that reports received by the government were primarily opinions posted on social media by certain individuals.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamed Fadzli mentioned that after examining these reports, it was determined that there were no violations or illegal gold sales. He noted that although the reports were mostly opinions, the government continues to study and scrutinize the issues raised while awaiting a comprehensive report.

Mohamed Fadzli, responding to a supplementary question from Datuk Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim of BN-Galas, provided an update during the State Legislative Assembly session at the Kota Darulnaim Complex. The inquiry was regarding the investigation into gold mining activities in Kusial, Tanah Merah.

The Deputy Menteri Besar assured that if any non-compliance is detected during mining activities, relevant agencies, such as the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia and the Environment Department, would be responsible for taking appropriate action under their respective legal frameworks.
