Kuala lumpur: Halal products imported from the United States (US) must still comply with the standards set by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department’s (JAKIM), said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Zafrul emphasized during a press conference today that while Malaysia has agreed with the US to facilitate the process of importing halal products, there will be no compromise on the halal standards.
