Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has clarified that no application is necessary for the ‘Sumbangan Asas Rahmah’ (SARA) assistance program. The ministry emphasized that a circulating message claiming “SARA for all” assistance is false.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the MOF stated that the RM100 SARA assistance, announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will be automatically credited to the MyKad of all Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above. The ministry urged citizens to be cautious and avoid being deceived by such false messages on social media, advising, “If unsure, don’t click – avoid becoming a victim of scams!”

The SARA assistance is set to be available for use at selected stores from August 31 until December 31, 2025. The MOF recommended following its official channels for accurate and up-to-date information regarding the assistance program.
