Kuala lumpur: Nikkiso Clean Energy and Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CEandIG) has signed a five-year service agreement with Maran Tankers Management Inc to provide global aftermarket support for the company's high-pressure pump systems, expanding Nikkiso CEandIG's footprint in the marine sector. Under the long-term agreement, Nikkiso CEandIG will provide scheduled cold end valve repairs, maintain critical spare inventory across its global Marine Hubs network, and deliver technical support for Maran Tankers' fleet.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nikkiso CEandIG's Marine Hubs are located across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the US, and China, allowing the company to offer coordinated global servicing. Sean Fanniff, President of Cryogenic Services Business Unit at Nikkiso CEandIG, stated that the agreement with Maran Tankers, a leading operator in the tanker industry, represents a significant step in their growth within the marine market. Fanniff expressed eagerness to support Maran Tankers' fleet for years to come.
The company announced that the arrangement is designed to reduce turnaround times, enabling replacement cold ends to reach vessels within days rather than the industry average of several months. Nikkiso CEandIG will also conduct extended overhauls during scheduled dry-docking periods as part of the service program. This agreement follows Nikkiso CEandIG's recent strategic service partnership with Exion Asia Pte Ltd, as the company continues to enhance its marine aftermarket capabilities globally.
