NICE 2026 Registration Now Open, Aims To Take Malaysian Innovation To Global Markets

Kuala lumpur: Registration for the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2026 is now open to the public, researchers, and industry players. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) announced that NICE 2026, jointly organised with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI), will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from August 26-28.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Chang Lih Kang stated that NICE 2026 supports the government's efforts to ensure the country's capabilities in science, technology, and innovation are translated into measurable economic and social outcomes. He emphasized Malaysia's potential to compete on the global stage and highlighted the priority of facilitating the growth of local research and innovations beyond the country.

MOSTI noted that NICE 2026 continues the legacy of the Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) initiative, which has played a role in the commercialisation of 761 innovations, generating over RM1.14 billion in commercial revenue. This initiative has been crucial in strengthening links between innovators, industry, investors, and the market.

Meanwhile, MRANTI Chief Executive Officer Ashran Ghazi remarked that NICE was established to connect innovation with opportunities through strategic partnerships, commercialisation, and market access. He described NICE as a platform that bridges innovation with actual opportunities, facilitating the journey from the laboratory to the marketplace, and extending from Malaysia to the world.

The three-day expo is expected to feature over 50 industry experts, policymakers, investors, and technology practitioners. It will showcase over 180 innovations and technologies from various strategic sectors, including Advanced and Future Industries, HealthTech, Bioeconomy, DeepTech, Commercialisation, and Market Access.
