Putrajaya: Newly appointed Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) president Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir has set his leadership agenda to focus on improving cleanliness, increasing the on-ground presence of officers, and ensuring more effective infrastructure maintenance. He emphasized that maintaining high service quality is crucial due to the high expectations from the public and stakeholders regarding the nation’s administrative capital.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Sakeri, three weeks into his role, is conducting a comprehensive review of PPj’s operations. He plans to strengthen the solid foundation established by his seven predecessors while identifying areas for improvement. Mohd Sakeri highlighted the importance of officers being present on the ground, not for fault-finding, but to provide courteous guidance and ensure customer well-being.
Mohd Sakeri also underscored the necessity of scheduled infrastructure maintenance to keep public assets functional and beneficial for Putrajaya residents over time. Earlier, he led an Integrated Health and Premises Cleanliness Operation, collaborating with the Putrajaya Health Office, the Federal Territories Department, and the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp).
The operation concentrated on the cleanliness of food premises, tobacco product sales compliance, including electronic cigarettes and vape, and enforcement actions against commercial premises posing public health risks. The inspection covered 38 premises, resulting in 15 compounds and 22 warning notices issued.
