New Negeri Sembilan Exco Members Expected to Excel in Their Roles – Mohamad

Seremban: Barisan Nasional (BN) Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has expressed confidence in the capabilities of the ten newly appointed Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council (Exco) members. He believes they will effectively collaborate with the Menteri Besar and fulfill their respective responsibilities for the well-being of the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad, who also serves as the Rantau State Assemblyman (ADUN), emphasized the crucial role of an exco as a conduit between the government and the public. He highlighted the importance of explaining government policies to the society while also collecting public opinions and suggestions to improve state administration.

"Being an exco means serving as a bridge between the government and the people, and the people and the government. Any government policies that are to be implemented need to be explained as best as possible to the people," Mohamad stated. He further explained their responsibility in addressing community issues and enhancing public welfare through their respective areas and portfolios.

Mohamad stressed the importance for each exco member to receive briefings from their departmental counterparts to comprehend the functions and administrative tasks they are expected to perform. He also underscored the necessity of maintaining good relations between the exco members and government departments to ensure effective policy implementation.

Earlier today, all the exco members completed their oath-taking ceremony before the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, at Istana Besar Seri Menanti.

Addressing the potential for a Melaka State Election (PRN), Mohamad remarked that the decision rests with the Melaka Chief Minister, who would need to seek the consent of the Yang Dipertua Negeri to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly.
