New Johor Bahru Court Complex Nears Completion with 85% Work Done

Iskandar puteri: The construction of the new Johor Bahru Court Complex in Iskandar Puteri, costing RM195.4 million, is expected to be fully completed by the end of the first quarter next year. State Public Works, Transport, Infrastructure and Communications Committee chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh said the project is 85 percent complete, with the Public Works Department closely monitoring site works to ensure it stays on schedule.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the complex is being constructed on a 6.8-hectare site next to the Kota Iskandar Mosque. The project, which commenced on February 8, 2023, aims to address the judicial infrastructure needs of Johor. Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh mentioned in a Facebook post that the complex is set to become a new landmark for Kota Iskandar, serving as Johor's administrative center.

The court complex consists of three main components: a single-storey multipurpose hall, a five-storey Block A, and a three-storey Block B. It will feature 24 courtrooms, administrative offices, a surau, a kindergarten, and a cafeteria. Additionally, the facility will include 389 car parking spaces and 171 motorcycle bays.
