Nepalese Man Seriously Injured In Wild Elephant Attack At Pos Blau

Kuala lumpur: A Nepalese plantation worker suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a wild elephant near Metro Blau Estate, Pos Blau, here yesterday. Gua Musang police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo reported that the victim, Muhammad Shukri Abdulah, originally named Muti Bahadur Bayambu, 54, was on his way home around 5.30 pm when the incident took place.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim was riding a motorcycle when he noticed elephant footprints and attempted to track the animal. Unexpectedly, the elephant grabbed him with its trunk and dragged him approximately 100 metres. The victim was then trampled and taken down a slope before being discovered by fellow workers who heard his cries for help.

The injured man was transported to Gua Musang Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit for severe injuries to his legs, chest, and neck.
