Negeri Sembilan Secures RM300 Million Investment for High-Tech Warehouse Project

Osaka: Negeri Sembilan is poised to secure significant new investments amounting to RM300 million following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between THP Enstek Development Sdn Bhd and Kasumigaseki Capital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This MoU involves the development of an advanced automated warehouse project in Bandar Enstek and was officially formalized during the launch of Negeri Sembilan Week at the Malaysia Pavilion, Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the MoU exchange ceremony was witnessed by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who emphasized that this strategic partnership is anticipated to bolster the state’s economic growth and enhance its appeal as a hub for high-impact investments. The ongoing Negeri Sembilan Week, inaugurated by Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, runs until October 5.

In conjunction with the event, the state government, through its investment arm Invest NS, organized an Investor Appreciation Ceremony to acknowledge foreign companies that have committed to investing in the region. Aminuddin highlighted that five Japanese companies have been identified as prospective investors, with a focus on the manufacturing and logistics services sectors.

Aminuddin further mentioned that these investments are expected to not only increase the state’s overall investment value but also generate new employment opportunities for residents, while simultaneously fostering advancements in technology and innovation. He attributed the success of these projects to the state government’s proactive efforts through international investment missions and continuous initiatives aimed at positioning Negeri Sembilan as a leading investment destination.

He also noted that an open and investor-friendly policy, efficient service delivery, robust infrastructure, and a supportive business ecosystem are crucial factors contributing to this achievement. Aminuddin expressed confidence in meeting the state’s investment targets, citing investors’ trust in Negeri Sembilan’s stable business environment and progressive policy support.

The event underscored the state’s ongoing commitment to attracting high-quality foreign direct investment and reinforcing its status as a progressive, sustainable, and inclusive investment hub on both regional and international fronts.
