Kuala lumpur: About two million Malaysians have redeemed the RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) For All cash assistance, involving nearly RM200 million in funds as of Tuesday, said Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan. He stated that the positive response to SARA and the smooth operation of the system were notable, with no issues of long queues reported.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amir Hamzah remarked on the improvements made since the previous year, highlighting the absence of system issues and queues at shops. He emphasized the expanded eligible categories for purchases, including frozen food items, and reiterated the government's commitment to continuous improvements for future benefits.
Jana MyPesara, a microfinancing initiative aimed at assisting retirees in managing and running their businesses more effectively, was also launched. The RM100 one-off SARA credit is available to over 22 million MyKad holders aged 18 and above, valid from February 9 to December 31, 2026.
